Air raids are normally associated with World War II rather
than the Great War, but Zeppelin airships were used in over 50 bombing missions
over Britain.
The top cutting is about the first Zeppelin raid in January 1915. 4
people were killed and 16 injured.
The
photograph is of the grounded Zeppelin L49 from January 1916.
